Više od 100 osoba je poginulo u poplavama izazvanim obilnim kišama u indijskim državama Utar Pradeš i Bihar, saopštili su danas zvaničnici.
U obe ove države u prekidu je železnički, putnički saobraćaj, a zdravstvene službe i škole ne rade, dok je otežano snabdevanje strujom.
U državi Utar Pradeš od četvrtka je poginulo najmanje 93 osoba, dok je u Biharu stradalo 29.

Vlade ovih država zatražile su od indijskih vazdušnih snaga helikoptere i mehanizaciju za drenažu vode.
Najmanje četiri osobe su umrle nakon ujeda zmija u poplavljenim oblastima.
