Mučne scene mrtvih koala i kengura nastradalih u požarima u Australiji sada su zamenile tužne slike konja i krava zakopanih u pepelu koji je izbacio vulkan Taal na Filipinima.
Društvene mreže preplavili su snimci poluzakopanih krava i konja, pepelom prekrivenih, izgladnelih svinja, pasa i ptica koji nisu pobegli sa ostrva.
Stanovnici koji žive u podnožju vulkana oglušili su se o upozorenja vlasti i vratili se svojim domovima da pokušaju da pomognu nesrećnim životinjama.
Filipinski institut za vulkanologiju i seizmologiju upozorio je na moguću "eksplozivnu erupciju" drugog najaktivnijeg vuklana na Filipinima u narednim satima ili danima.
